Doha: Qatar Moms (QAMO), one of the fastest growing social groups of women in Qatar (currently over 4,200 women), recently celebrated the third anniversary of its very first event, Rang de Basanti. QAMO is the Qatar chapter of UNIMO (Universe of Moms), which is the world’s largest community of mothers with more than 5,00000 registered mothers.

UNIMO (Universe of Moms) founded by Neha Kare Kanabar, has chapters in 22 cities across the globe, Qatar being one of the important ones. QAMO was created by Deepa Jaiswal on 24th July 2020 with an objective of bringing all the mothers based in Qatar together to create a community full of love, support, and respect.

Rang De Basanti 3.0 was organised at Wakra Public Beach, marking the Indian Republic Day. The event gathered over 125 ladies, who enjoyed a day filled with activities and entertainment. The event, themed with the Indian tri-colour, provided a platform for ladies to come together, have fun and make memories.

The event began with Indian national anthem. Conversations, food and dances added glamour to the gathering.

Multiple gifts and raffles added to the excitement, and every attendee was treated to a unique personalised return gift.

QAMO’s Admins, Deepa Venkatesh Jaiswal, Neha Choudhary and Beenaa, said, “We are thrilled with the turnout and response to our Rang De Basanti 3.0 event. Our goal was to create a platform for the ladies to come together and celebrate the Indian Republic Day. It was great to see everyone having fun, making memories and bonding over food, dance and games. We hope to continue this event every year, giving our members a chance to connect and create a sense of community.”
