DOHA: The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) is building an infectious diseases unit at Al Rumailah Hospital.
Hamad Medical Corporation is preparing to invite tenders for several development projects, part of which is to build new facilities for Al Rumailah Hospital, including a three-tower new hospital and diabetes and dental clinics.
The projects aim to provide more specialised services for those suffering from chronic diseases by increasing facilities and recruiting more specialists in a bid to reduce the burden on Hamad General Hospital (HGH).
Work at the site is continuing round-the-clock and the unit is expected to be completed in time.
