DOHA: Work is in progress on seven new underground parking facilities in different parts of the country to address the severe parking shortage.
The facilities are being built in Al Bida, Lusail, Musheireb and behind the Souq Waqif.
Some of these new parking lots will have a capacity of more than 2,000 vehicles, Al Sharq reported.
The new facilities are designed in the model of the underground, multi-storey parking in Souq Waqif. They are located in some of the most crowded areas in the city, it added.
