DOHA: Doha International Family Institute (DIFI), a member of Qatar Foundation is organising a discussion entitled ‘Towards a Better Balance between Family and Work in the GCC’ on March 30.
It is the first event within DIFI’s programme on family-related policies in the region, and an expert panel will address the importance of balancing family and work responsibilities in GCC countries. Looking into the ramifications of work-life imbalance on the family and other institutions at state and community level, the discussion will examine regional and international best practice and how it may be applied across GCC countries.
This event is contributing to Qatar Foundation’s strategic objective to support human development and foster an engaged and progressive society in Qatar and in the region. It also supports the Institute’s mission of making family elated issues a top priority for policy-makers at national, regional and international levels.
The panel leading the discussion will include experts and researchers, in addition to representatives from NGOs and UNFPA Arab States Regional Office. The event will conclude with an executive summary of the working papers and debate, and set out priorities for the discussion of related policies, the wider research agenda and awareness raising campaigns.
The panel discussion will take place on March 30 at QNRF, 5th floor of Tornado Tower, West Bay, Doha. The panel discussion will be held in Arabic.
Doha: Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation (Kahramaa) has announced a public tender for supply, installation, testing & commissioning of LED lighting system for facades of Kahramaa’s headquarters (Main building) located at Dafna area of the city.
Kahramaa through the advertised tender under vide reference LTC 872/2014, has invited bidders to install LED Lighting System at its main tower’s (KM 1) facades.
The bid closing date will be March 29, 2015 until 11 AM. For more details, interested parties may log on www.km.qa.
The tower facades consist of three parts. The first Part is the Elevation façade opposite the Sheraton Signal (35 Floors with the Roof Boundary), the second Part is the Elevation façade with the dome on the Funduq Street (14 Floors) and the third part is the Elevation façade with the dome opposite Doha Bank.
