DOHA: International Islamic (QIIB), one of the fastest growing Shariah-compliant banks in Qatar, yesterday opened a new branch in Muaither.
The new branch, located in the suburb of Doha, was formally inaugurated by Sheikh Dr Khalid bin Thani bin Abdullah Al Thani, Chairman of QIIB.
The Bank’s new branch in Muaither, which is the 17th in QIIB’s Qatar network, is in line with its local outreach strategy, grow the customer base and better serve the growing clientele, said a statement yesterday.
The new branch will work in two shifts, Sunday through Thursday from 7:30am to 1pm and in the evening from 5pm to 8pm, Sunday through Wednesday. The rationale behind the two shifts is to provide longer banking hours at a time of customers’ convenience – be it in the morning or evening. The opening ceremony was attended by the Bank’s CEO, Abdulbasit Ahmad Al Shaibei and members of the QIIB’s Board of Directors and senior officials.
The new branch location was carefully chosen by QIIB to provide easy and better service to its customers, in and around Muaither. It is located along the Muaither Commercial Street. Besides existing customers, new clients will also find the new branch location convenient and easy to access QIIB’s service.
Al Shaibei said: “The QIIB branch in Muaither is a new addition to the QIIB Bank’s countrywide distribution network, which is constantly expanding to keep pace with the needs and expectations of customers, and to perfectly align with the strong economic growth across Qatar in all fields.”
He said: “God willing, customers will find that the evolution is not only in form but also in the integrated banking services provided to them and led by a professional team that can meet the advanced banking service requirements.”
Al Shaibei stated that the Muaither branch, as is the case with other QIIB branches, has been equipped with the latest technology and will provide customers’ a range of banking products and services. The existing and new customers will find convenient access to all kinds of banking products and services at QIIB’s Muaither facility as well as other branches across Qatar.
QIIB also informed that it is planning to open a new branch dedicated to corporate customers such as companies to meet the increased demand for such services.
