Doha: The Emir H H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and the Heir Apparent H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani sent cables of congratulations to Queen Margrethe II of Denmark on her country’s National Day yesterday.
The Prime Minister and Foreign Minister H E Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem bin Jabor Al Thani sent a similar cable to the queen.
Qatar condemns Boston attacks
Doha: Qatar has expressed its condemnation and denounced the bombings that took place on Monday evening in the US city of Boston.
An official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs yesterday expressed Qatar’s solidarity with the US people and government.
The source said Qatar condemns such terrorist and criminal acts which aim to destabilise security and terrorise innocent people, adding that it strongly denounces the killing of innocent people.
The source expressed Qatar’s condolences and sympathies to the US government and the families of the victims and wishes of speedy recovery to the injured.
The source reiterated Qatar’s firm stance against violence and terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. QNA
