Doha: Ooredoo has promoted Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad bin Nasser Al Thani (pictured), who is now the Chief New Business Officer, the company announced yesterday.
In his new role, Sheikh Nasser will be responsible for overseeing the development of new opportunities in the corporate sector. He will also be responsible for customer satisfaction achievement across all sectors, including government and education, finance and energy, and public services.
Sheikh Nasser joined Ooredoo in 2009 and in 2011 he was named Assistant Director, Corporate Sales in the sales and service business unit.
“Sheikh Nasser is one of our top up-and-coming young leaders and he has a proven track record of success in working with Qatar's large corporations and key organisations. In his role as Chief New Business Officer, he will work to help us deepen our ties with Qatar's businesses,” CEO of Ooredoo Sheikh Saud bin Nasser Al Thani said.
Sheikh Nasser has a Bachelor's degree in Business and Economics from Qatar University, and after working in the government sector for five years, he completed an MBA from University of Wales in 2011. He also received a Certificate of Excellence for exemplary academic performance from HRH Prince Michael of Kent, GCVO.
