Doha: The Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Interior (MOI) in association with General Directorate of Civil Defence conducted a webinar to create awareness on ‘Fire Prevention’ via zoom platform.
Roopinder Kaur Headmistress of OIS welcomed the facilitators. OIS students, parents and staff actively participated in the webinar. The speaker from Civil Defence shared some tips that help prevent fire at home, such as ensuring periodical maintenance of equipment and devices and verifying the availability and validity of fire extinguishers.
She also mentioned the use of fire blankets when a fire breaks and also to dial the emergency helpline number 999 to ensure safety and security. After a one hour session there was an interactive and amazing question and answer session in which the students of OIS enthusiastically participated and bagged several prizes.
