The wreckage of a Nepal Airlines Twin Otter aircraft lies near the river after crashing in Jomsom, some 300km west of Kathmandu, yesterday. Twenty-one people were hurt, including eight Japanese tourists, when a small plane skidded off a Nepal airport runway and plunged into a river, police said.
