Pakistan, US to discuss civil nuclear technology

Islamabad: Pakistan’s Finance Minister Ishaq Dar yesterday said that Pakistan and United States have agreed to hold dialogue on the cooperation in civil nuclear technology.
The Pakistan’s Finance Minister met an American trade delegation headed by Elizabeth Littlefield in Islamabad yesterday, according to Pakistan’s Dunya News.
Later, the minister told media that the United State delegation has expressed willingness to invest in bio-energy sector in Pakistan to overcome power crisis. He said transfer of technology is major impediment in the way of bilateral cooperation between both countries.
Ishaq Dar said Pakistan is an attractive country for investment. He said resolving energy crisis of the country is PML-N government’s first priority.
On the occasion, Elizabeth Little said that United State will enhance cooperation with Pakistan to boost power generation through wind, bio-gas and through alternative ways.Agencies
