A girl from the Khasi tribe sells fruit by the Guwahati-Shillong road in the northeastern state of Meghalaya yesterday. Meghalaya is the largest pineapple producer in the northeast and exports its fruit products to Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan, and processed fruits to Mongolia.
