Doha: Qatar is participating in the Holy Quran memorisation contests in Algeria and Jordan during Ramadan. Qatar is represented in the contest in Algeria by Yousef Jaber Al Tamimi and Anas Hashim Al Mashhadani in Jordan. Mohammed Al Mahmoud, Director, Religious Call and Guidance Department at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, stressed the ministry’s keenness to participate in such contests. QNA
