Doha: The State of Qatar strongly condemned the Iranian attack on the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, considering it a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of the sisterly Republic of Iraq and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, and a blatant breach of the rules of international law.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized the necessity of sparing the region the consequences of unjustified attacks, continuing on the path of dialogue and diplomacy, and de-escalating, in a manner that contributes to consolidating security and stability at both the regional and international levels.
The Ministry renewed the State of Qatar's full solidarity with Iraq and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, and its support for all measures they take to preserve their sovereignty and security.
