Doha: In line with its commitment to furthering excellence within the workplace and in line with its position as an international leader in sports medicine, Aspetar is hosting its fourth annual International Quality and Patient Safety Week.
The two-day conference which ends today, bring together healthcare professionals from around the world to take part in a series of educational sessions including interactive workshops, symposia, and lectures. During the conference, a number of subjects will be discussed, ranging from ‘Radiation/MRI Safety’ and ‘Patient Safety in Vaccines’ to ‘Improving Oral Health Outcomes’.
Speaking about the event, John Hartley, Quality Management Manager at Aspetar, pointed out the importance of the topics to be discussed, saying: “The United in Quality and Patient Safety conference highlights the work of medical professionals’ influence on improved patient care outcomes and healthcare delivery systems in Qatar. This year, we are delighted that a number of international speakers from the UAE all the way to Canada will be attending as guest speakers to provide global perspectives.”
Alongside these speakers, Aspetar presenters and a selection of medical experts from local organisations also bring their experience to the event across the three days. Organisations include Hamad Medical Corporation, University of Calgary in Qatar, and Qatar Petroleum.
With such a wide range of healthcare professionals coming together for the comprehensive sessions, observers of previous years predict that the event will once again serve as a networking platform for participants to foster and deepen relationships bringing even greater spin-off benefits to the expert gathering.
