Doha: Area 23, under Division F in District 116, held a confluence meeting with attendance from the Doha Bank Toastmaster club, EF Toastmaster club and Malaysian Toastmaster club.
The highlights were the keynote speech on “The Happyness Virus” by Murali Sundram, a reputed guru from Chennai, India, and a debate session on the topic “Resolved that, virtual meetings are better than in-person meetings”, moderated by TM Pooja Bhatt.
The Area Director TM Sabari Prasad highlighted the achievements and programmes which Area 23 achieved in less than 100 days and the programmes scheduled in the next three months.
TM Simon Kurian was the Master of Ceremony and conducted the session which also had speeches from the Pathways educational module, a joke session and culminated in the general evaluation session by the seasoned campaigner, DTM Raghavan Menon, the Immediate Past District 116 Director.
The meeting was also graced by the presence of other dignitaries including District CGD DTM Rajesh V C, Division F Director DTM Anil Nair. DTM Raghavan Menon released the flyer for the Mega Finale event of the two-month programme — Youth Leadership Program (YLP) featuring Craig Valentine, the 1999 World Champion of Public Speaking. This mega event is on October 3.
