Doha, Qatar: The Athletic team at Birla Public School (BPS) has once again brought glory to the institution by securing TWO Silver Medals at the CBSE National Athletics Meet, held from 9 to 15 September 2025 at Sant Atulanand Convent School, Koirajpur, India.
Facing a competition between top student-athletes of 1250 schools across the nation, the BPS contingent demonstrated exceptional talent, perseverance, and sportsmanship throughout the championship.
Major highlights - Dwijaraj Thaippurayil Arunkumar (VIII-I), who soared high in the U14 Boys High Jump, securing a proud Silver Medal and the U17 Boys 4x100m relay team, whose electrifying speed and flawless coordination earned them a prestigious Silver Medal. The dynamic team included: Abdullah Waheedy (XI-O), Faiz Najeeb Haneefa (XI-L), Shriyansh Ranjan Pattanayak (XI-G), Johann Mathew Jacob (IX-A), and Mohammed Qais Shanil Mookkathayil (X-K).
Adding to the impressive showing, the U14 Boys 4x100m relay team—featuring Dwijaraj Thaippurayil Arunkumar (VIII-I), Yoghav Naidu (VIII-L), Steven Joash Jossan (VIII-M), and Shayan Mohammed (VIII-B)—put forth a commendable performance to finish in Fifth Place in the competition.
In total, eleven talented athletes represented Birla Public School at this prestigious national-level Athletic Meet, a testament to the school’s unwavering focus on holistic development, discipline, and excellence in co-curricular pursuits.
