Doha, Qatar: The customs tariff rate on certain selected items has been increased under Amiri Decree No 45 of 2026, according to a directive published in the 17th issue of the Official Gazette, published on September 16, 2026.
Under the decree, the customs tariff rate on uncut chicken, fresh or chilled, including chilled chicken breasts, thighs and wings, has been increased to 18%.
Article 2 of the decree states that customs tariff rate on certain agricultural produce, including zucchini, eggplants and tomatoes, will be increased to 15% during the peak agricultural production periods.
The increased tarriff rate on fresh or chilled tomatoes will apply from January to May, while the higher rate on eggplants will apply from January to April, and from November to December. For Zucchini, the higher tarriff will be levied from January to April and from October to December.
The increased tarriff rates will take effect 60 days after the date of publication in the Official Gazette.
