Qatar Customs, Canada Border Services Agency discuss ways to enhance cooperation

Doha, Qatar: Assistant Chairman of the General Authority of Customs for Customs Affairs, HE Talal Abdullah Al-Sheebi received the Non-Resident Liaison Officer to the State of Qatar for the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), Rizwan Ahmed at the Authority’s headquarters to discuss avenues for strengthening customs and border cooperation.

The meeting addressed ways to enhance joint cooperation and exchange expertise and best practices in customs and border affairs, including border security, customs law enforcement, anti-smuggling efforts, and countering transnational organized crime.

Both sides also explored opportunities to advance bilateral cooperation and exchanged views on the latest developments and challenges pertaining to customs and border operations, contributing to safeguarding economic security and boosting the efficiency of customs operations.
