German healthcare firms eye Qatar market

DOHA: German companies from the healthcare are searching for partnerships to take part in the construction of new infrastructures like hospitals and hotels. 

This is the fourth visit to Qatar by Christian Franz Lindenau, Managing Director of gepa2, a German Export Promotion Agency, who is leading the delegation. Lindenau met with Sheikh Jabor bin Mansour bin Jabor Al Thani to discuss the participation of German entrepreneurs in the project for a new hospital. 

The delegation also held meetings with various companies in Qatar to introduce their products, offer their services and assess their chances in this market. They also met with representatives of Hamad Medical Corporation and Al Ahli  Hospital, among others. 

According to the leader of the  delegation, Qatari institutions and companies have high interest in German products and they value their quality and after sale services.  Tina Kammer, Managing director for Interior Par, who is also an architect, visiting Doha for the first time. She has 20 years of experience and has worked with companies in the Middle East before. She is confident that Qatari corporates will be interested in her products which revolves around the concept based on healthier materials for indoors.  

Braeunig, is another German company that hopes to find investors in Qatar. Also from the healthcare sector, this brand manufactures wheelchairs. Sascha Kroner is the owner and Managing Director of the company.tThe Peninsula
