Doha: The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani in telephone calls yesterday exchanged Eid Al Adha greetings with Sudan’s President Omar Hassan Ahmed Al Bashir and Tunisia’s President Mohamed Moncef Marzouki.
DOHA: About 21 road accidents were reported from different parts of the country on the second day of Eid Al Adha yesterday.
Most were minor cases at festival venues such as the Corniche, Sealine and places in Al Khor, Al Sharq said. The ambulance team received 250 calls related to accidents and emergencies.
The Emergency Department at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) and paediatric emergency units attended to 2,150 cases.
HMC emergency unit received 680 visitors while paediatric units attended to 1,470 cases.
They included 10 cardiac cases and one death caused by a disease, said the daily.
Other cases were mostly respiratory and stomach illnesses.
