DOHA: Qatar’s leading facilities management company, Cofely Besix Mannai Facility Management (CBMFM), a subsidiary of Mannai Corporation, has been awarded its first contract by Qatar Petroleum (QP) to maintain and replace all the HVAC (heating, ventilating, and air conditioning) equipment located at Dukhan Fields, said a press statement yesterday.
Under the contract Cofely Besix Mannai Facility Management will be responsible for maintaining more than 1200 HVAC assets in Dukhan Fields, in Qatar, an area measuring approximately 65km long, containing over 700 oil-gas-and water injection wells, and over 4,000 km of pipelines.
The contract with QP is valid for an initial five year period, and will require a total of 120 operational personnel.
“Our scope involves corrective, reactive and planned preventative maintenance for all HVAC assets in Dukhan fields as well as minor project element that covers replacement of various HVAC assets,” explained Scott Bethel, General Manager of Cofely Besix Mannai Facility Management.
“A full condition assessment of all HVAC assets will be carried out within the first 90 days, including the development of a Planned Preventative Maintenance schedule and a Replacement Programme for any equipment requiring change out. “This is a very exciting opportunity for us and we look forward to the challenge as it highlights our specialist technical capability, as well as our ability to deliver the highest service to our customers,” added Bethel.
