Doha: Ninth flight carrying more than 350 passengers including faculty and students from Afghanistan landed in Qatar today.
Assistant Foreign Minister and Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs HE Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater said in a tweet that “9th passenger flight carrying more than 350 including faculty, students, families and citizens of friendly countries Australia, United States, Denmark and Netherlands arrived at Doha today.”
Qatar had helped FIFA to transport 100 football players and their families from Afghanistan few days back.
FIFA said in a statement that the group included female players and thanked Qatar for its support and for "ensuring the safe passage" of the players and families.
