Islamabad: A suicide bombing on an army camp in Mir Ali, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, killed seven Pakistani soldiers and injured 13.
According to the Associated Press of Pakistan, security forces shot dead four attackers, including the bomber who drove an explosives-laden vehicle into the camp wall. Two others were killed while attempting to breach the facility.
The attack comes as a fragile 48-hour ceasefire between Pakistan and Afghanistan nears expiration, following days of heavy clashes. Security sources say the assault involved suicide tactics and infiltration attempts.
Pakistani forces reportedly killed 88 militants in recent operations.
