Al Sailiya pip Al Fateh in high-scoring match

Doha: Al Sailiya defeated Saudi club Al Fateh 3-2 in a friendly at Al Sailiya Stadium on Sunday.
This match was a preparatory game before the 11th round of the Qatar Stars League (QSL) restarts on November 29 after the international break.
Korean player Shin Jin-ho got the Peregrines off the mark on the 14th minute but then Al Fateh leveled just before the break, courtesy of Rabih Soufiani.
In the second-half, the game opened up more with defense often being no more than an afterthought.
Then in the 56th minute, Tunisian front-man Issam Jemma got his side back in front. However, Al Fateh did not give up and equalised once more through Elton Jose in the 78th minute.
Mustafa AbdelHafeed was the hero of the night for Saiilya when, in the 88th minute, he scored the winning goal.
Al Kharaitiyat overcome Muaither SC
Al Kharaitiyat defeated second-division side Muaither SC 3-2 in Doha on Saturday.
Vivian Quasi, Abdullah Al Batat and Illung Diba scored for Al Kharaitiyat.
The Thunders are scheduled to play a second friendly against Al Fateh of Saudi Arabia.
Al Gharafa to take on  Messaimeer
Al Gharafa will play second-division side Messaimeer in a friendly at Al Gharrafa Stadium in Doha from 5.30pm on Thursday.
The match is part of the preparations of the club during the two-week break in the QSL due to the ongoing 2014 Gulf Cup of Nations.
Philippine school of Doha receives donation form Al Ahli
Al Ahli Sports Club handed over a cheque of QR 114,000 to the Principal of the Philippine School Doha on Sunday.
The money was raised during the 10th round fixture between Al Ahli and Umm Salal where the QSL’s all-time attendance record was broken.
The money will be used to help build new facilities at the Doha-based school.
The donation was handed over at the club’s headquarters where the Philippine Ambassador Crescente R. Relacion was also in attendance.
The Filipino community has a long and strong relationship with Al Ahli club and Relacion said: “As we all can see, football can change lives for the better. My appreciation goes out to the QSL, especially Mr Hassan Al Kuwari, the Head of General Events for the QSL, and of course the CEO of the Qatar Stars League, Mr. Hani Balan.”
Al Ahli to play Al Khaleej of Saudi Arabia
Doha: After their defeat against the Iranian national team (4-1), the Brigadiers will face Saudi team Al Khaleej on Wednesday at the Aspire Zone pitches.
After the game against Al Khaleej, Al Ahli will play one more friendly game before the Qatar Stars League recommences.
Al Ahli will take on Al Arabi on November 30.
