DOHA: Qatar National Library (QNL), member of Qatar Foundation (QF) will allow participants in the Annual Research Conference (ARC’14) to register on site to receive information about science and research online databases available through the website.
Teams will also benefit from research handouts and brochures on QNL’s role in the dissemination of culture and knowledge, and services at a booth in Qatar National Convention Centre’s exhibition hall.
The forum on November 18-19 under the theme ‘Towards World-Class Research and Innovation,’ brings together national and international experts, and researchers and scientists from key entities in QF Research and Development (QF R&D).
The event, hosted by QF R&D, supports QF’s mission to cultivate life-long learning and interest in science and research. It is also in keeping with QNL’s commitment and efforts to support Qatar as an international centre for research and development excellence, and innovation.
Saadi Al Said, Associate Director,  Administration and Planning, QNL, said, “The conference plays a crucial role in developing capabilities of Qatar’s students and researchers. Participants will have the chance to learn about QNL’s latest databases that provide easy access to high-quality referenced materials.” A QNL team will facilitate on site registration of participants and engage the public by outlining databases and resources.
ARC’14 aims to address Qatar’s research grand challenges and critical issues, including water, energy and cyber security, integrated healthcare, social sciences, arts and humanities, said Dr Nabeel Al Salem, Executive Director, Outreach and Communications, QF R&D.     The Peninsula
