Over 12,000 visit international boat show

DOHA: Over 12,000 people visited the second Qatar International Boat Show at Mourjan Marinas in Lusail City.
They came to see more than 75 boats at the five-day expo which ended on Saturday. Over 90 exhibitors representing many top names in the maritime industry, including many repeat exhibitors from last year, took part. The exhibition area included shows on land and in water with 10,000sqm of water basin surface, and more than 15,000sqm of pavilions and outdoor areas.
On the water were brands such as Azimut, Sea Ray, Princess, Ferreti, Riva, Gulf Craft, Sunseeker, Prestige, Itama, Al Shaali Marine, San Lorenzo, Benetti, Sunreef, Esen Yachts, Ares, Lagoon, Amer Yachts, Cranchi, Everglades, among others.
A luxury dhow, made in Qatar by Al Mannai Marine, was one of the highlights.
The largest boat was a 40-metre Floating House from Abu Dhabi-based Emirates Waves.
Regional exhibitors included Al Badi Trading, Al Dar Marine, Alfardan Marine Services, Al Kashat, Al Mannai Marine, Al Omar Marine, Amwaj, Art Marine, Behnemar, Doha Yachting, Dolphin Marine, Domasco, Emirates Boats, Emirates Waves, Gulf Craft, Gulf Yachts, Halul Boats, Kaldari Marine, Kulluna, Marsa Marine, Masraf Al Rayan, Qatar Executive, Qatar Sub, Samawy Marine, Shrao Marine, Sika Qatar, Sora Marine, Speed Marine, Sunseeker M.E., Suprema Marine, United Marine Trading, XTL and YCO. Ambassadors and trade and culture secretaries, including diplomats from the US, the UK, Italy, France, Germany, Canada, India, Egypt, Tunisia, Russia, Greece, China, Kuwait, Turkey, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Japan and Bulgaria, also visited the show.The Peninsula
