Doha, Qatar: Amid a record turnout from falconers, the registration and inspection process for the second Katara International Hunting & Falcons Exhibition (S'hail 2025) kicked off Monday and is set to run until November 19.

The process will wrap up at 12pm at the premises of the Qatari Society of Al Gannas (QSAG) in Katara.

The online registration for Al Da'wa and Al Tala contests commenced on November 13 and is set to run until November 18 at 11pm, while this evening, the registration for the Saluki Race, both Male & Female Categories, has started.

The Director of Championships at QSAG and Chairman of the Marmi Festival, Mutib Mubarak Al Qahtani, said the first day of registration drew a robust turnout for both the second championship and the Haddad Challenge at the 17th Marmi Festival (Marmi 2026).

He urged falconers to be punctual over the next two days to secure registration for either event.

Al Qahtani further outlined that the organizing committee decided to open early registration for the Haddad Challenge to ease pressure ahead of next month's official registration, especially as this contest draws record participation from falconers.

This major championship will kick off on November 26 at Sabkhat Marmi in Sealine. The number of competition days hinges on registered entries, with each falcon category assigned a separate race, plus two races for local breeding and an elite Gyr race, totaling 15 races, Al Qahtani highlighted.

Several falconers heaped praise on QSAG's energized efforts in streamlining the registration process and informing them of the dates in a timely manner, ensuring they were properly gestated and ready.
