DOHA: A 40-year-old Qatari died after he fell from the rooftop of his house while trying to hoist the national flag to mark Qatar’s National Day. Comments posted in social media said yesterday Saeed Rashid Al Sulaiti fell from the rooftop of his house as he lost balance due to strong wind while trying to hoist the national flag.
The incident took place on Sunday and Al Sulaiti was buried in Abu Hamour cemetery after evening prayers yesterday.
Commentators, while mourning his loss, didn’t say where the deceased stayed or whether he died on the spot or was alive and taken to hospital after the fall.
