DOHA: Real estate transactions in Qatar registered marginal rise last week. Total number of transactions reached 83 during December 6-10, up 3.8 percent compared to 80 transactions in the previous week, said Ezdan Weekly Real Estate report released yesterday.
The value of transactions also showed a marginal increase of 2.9 percent with value of transactions reached QR1.45bn against 1.4bn in the previous week. The largest deal of the week was executed in Doha Municipality which was sale of a tower in The Pearl for QR570m having area of 6,504 sqm.
Ready to move buildings continued to dominate real estate transactions with 71.6 percent share in the total sale.
Total 53 deals for ready to move buildings were executed with a value of QR1.04bn during the week against 30 deals for multipurpose open plot worth QR410.4m. Doha Municipality led the real estate the transaction during the week in terms of value acquiring 48.1 percent of the total transactions during week. The total value of transactions in the municipality reached QR696.6m. Al Wakra witnessed 31 transactions worth QR639.2m representing 34.4 percent of the total transactions. The highest deal in Al Wakra was for QR27m for a open land plot with area of 7130 sqm. Al Rayyan registered 17 transactions worth QR63.3m with largest transaction of QR7m for a open land plot in Umm Al Sanim of 1280sqm. The value of deals in Al Daayen Municipality fell 21 percent to QR23.3m during the week representing 1.6 percent. The largest transaction in Al Daayen was of 4.8m.
