MONGOMO, EQUATORIAL GUINEA--Ghana skipper Asamoah Gyan is doubtful for Monday's Africa Cup of Nations Group C clash against Senegal after receiving treatment for malaria.

Gyan was admitted to hospital with symptoms of "mild malaria" in Mongomo on Saturday but he was discharged on Sunday, the Ghana Football Federation (GFA) reported on their website.

The GFA said they will continue to monitor the striker who plays his club football in the United Arab Emirates.
