The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani yesterday met the President of Burkina Faso, Blaise Compaore, at the Emiri Diwan in the presence of ministers and the president’s delegation. Talks dealt with relations and issues of mutual interest. The Emir hosted a dinner banquet in the president’s honour. Earlier, the Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage H E Dr Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al Kuwari, Burkina Faso’s Non-Resident Ambassador to Qatar, Mansa Aontana, and other officials welcomed the president and his delegation at Doha International Airport on his arrival on a day’s visit to Qatar. The president also visited Qatar Foundation and was briefed on its mission and vision.
