Doha: Qatar Airways recorded a huge success at the Singapore Airshow 2014, attracting more than 450 people over four days for an exclusive tour of its Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.
It welcomed hundreds of trade visitors and members of the media on board Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, which had been on static display for the first time at the airshow.
“Asia is a very important market for Qatar Airways, and by exhibiting our Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft at the airshow we are reinforcing our long-term commitment to Singapore and the rest of this region,” said Akbar Al Baker, CEO, Qatar Airways.
“Qatar Airways became the latest airline to join the oneworld Alliance last October, and through our membership we have been able to offer our customers across Asia greater connectivity and ease of access to 134 destinations we fly, as well as the opportunity to experience our world-class, in-flight service,” he added.
Visitors were introduced to the premium aircraft with its unique features such as improved cabin pressure, dimmable windows and a more spacious seating configuration across the Business and Economy cabins. The carrier has nine Boeing 787 Dreamliners in its fleet, with 51 more on order.
