Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia in Riyadh yesterday. Also seen are Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani and Foreign Minister H E Dr Khalid bin Mohamed Al Attiyah.
Riyadh: Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani met the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and discussed regional developments and exchanged views on all that could achieve regional stability and peace as well as latest international developments.
During talks at King Salman’s palace in Arqa in Riyadh, they also reviewed means of developing relations in various fields for the benefit of both countries and brotherly peoples. Talks also dealt with joint Gulf action and means of enhancing it to fulfil Gulf peoples’ expectations and aspirations.
The session was attended by Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani and the Emir’s delegation.
Saudi Crown Prince and Deputy Prime Minister Muqrin bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Prince Mohamed bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Riyadh Governor Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Minister of National Guard Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Minister of Defence, Chief of the Royal Court and Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Special Adviser Mohamed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State and Cabinet Member Dr Musaad bin Mohamed Al Ayban and Minister of Finance Dr Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al Assaf were present.
The Emir visited late king Abdullah’s sons in the afternoon and offered condolences to Prince Miteb, Prince Faisal, Prince Turki, Prince Saud, Prince Mansour and their brother princes on the death of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud,
The Emir attended a luncheon banquet hosted in his honour by King Salman. The Premier and the Emir’s delegation were present among with Crown Prince Muqrin and other top officials.
Emir was welcomed at King Khalid International Airport by King Salman, Crown Prince Muqrin, other princes, military and civilian officials and Qatari Ambassador Sheikh Abdullah bin Thamir Al Thani. An official welcome ceremony was accorded to the Emir.
The Emir also met Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed at the latter’s farm in Al Thumamah and discussed latest Arab and international developments and ways of further strengthening relations. Prince Mohammed hosted a dinner banquet in honour of the Emir and his delegation.
