Berlin-New manager Slaven Skeledzic says he wants to introduce a culture of European football to Afghanistan's national team.
The 43-year-old confirmed on Wednesday that he had left his job as coach to German second division side FSV Frankfurt's youth side.
"I want to introduce the European culture and modern football to Afghanistan," the Bosnian-born Skeledzic says.
Skeledzic, taking charge of his first international side, succeeds Yousuf Kargar, the former Afghan coach who was injured in a serious stabbing attack in Kabul in January.
