Doha, Qatar: The 18th Qatar Robotics & AI Competition 2026 concluded at Lusail Hall in Doha yesterday. 
The three-day tournament was organized by the Ministry of Sports and Youth (MSY), represented by the Qatar Scientific Club (QSC), in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE), and was supported by the Social & Sport Contribution Fund (DAAM). Participating in this event were over 2,500 students of both genders from 250 schools, who showcased overwhelming contests across various robotics competitions. Young students from schools and universities demonstrated a combination of science, robotics technology, and assiduous training, filled with challenge and doggedness, to secure the most coveted advanced positions.
President of the Arab Association for Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, Ismail Yasin Hassan, stressed the importance of wielding science and cutting-edge technologies.
Director of Administrative and Financial Affairs at QSC of MSY, Fatima Al Mohannadi, stated that the collaboration between the ministry and numerous other relevant entities has had a positive and profound impact on the success of this tournament, making it a domestic event with global specifications.
Regarding the honouring of the winner of the title Champion of Qatar and the top positions across competition categories, this title was awarded to Qatar Technical School for Boys in the Beginner category, while the title of Champion of Qatar -Advanced Category was conferred upon Qatar School of Science and Technology for Boys.
Asma bint Yazid Secondary School for Girls emerged victorious in the Underwater Robot category, Qatar School of Science and Technology for Boys won the Climbing Robot category, Qatar Technical Secondary School for Boys was the winner in the Robot Arm category, and Al Wajbah Primary School for Boys secured first place in the Robot Football category.
