Riyadh: Custodian of the Two Holly Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia received yesterday an invitation from the Emir H H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani to participate in Arab League Council’s 24th summit, which will be held at the end of this month in Doha. Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz received the invitation from Qatari Ambassador in Riyadh Ali bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud.
Doha: The Emir H H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani sent a cable of greetings to the President of Ireland Michael D. Higgins on the occasion of his country’s National Day. The Heir Apparent H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister H E Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem bin Jabor Al Thani also sent greetings to the president.
Riyadh: GCC Secretary-General Dr Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani received yesterday an invitation from the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister H E Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem bin Jabor Al Thani to attend the Arab League Council’s 24th summit to be held in Doha later this month. Qatar’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ali bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud handed over the invitation to Al Zayani during a meeting at the GCC headquarters in Riyadh. They also discussed progress of joint GCC action and means to enhance it.
