Doha: Ooredoo yesterday launched ‘The Philippines SMS Key’ to offer a more affordable way for Filipinos in Qatar to communicate with their friends and family at home.
The key, which works with Hala service, offers the most affordable SMS rate to the Philippines from Qatar, at 12 dirhams/SMS. It costs QR1 per week and offers customers unlimited SMS to the Philippines at a cost of 12 dirhams per message, saving customers 80 percent per SMS on standard SMS rates. With an estimated 200,000 Filipinos in Qatar, Ooredoo anticipate the key to become one of its most popular international offers. To subscribe, Hala customers should SMS “SPHI” to 121. The key will auto-renew each week.
