Doha: Qatar Petroleum (QP) has recently honoured over a thousand long-serving employees in recognition of their loyalty, hard work and commitment to realizing its vision and strategic objectives.

A total of 1,091 staff were honoured during the second and third parts of QP’s Continuous Service Awards (CSA) ceremonies for 2018, which were held under the patronage of QP President & CEO Saad Sherida Al Kaabi.

The awardees have reached career milestones of 10, 15, 20, and 25 years of service with QP.

The second CSA ceremony, which was held on March 5, gave recognition to 588 employees from QP’s Industrial Cities Directorate and Operations Directorate, while the third ceremony, held on March 14, honored 503 staff from the corporation’s other directorates and corporate departments.

Abdulaziz Mohammed Al Mannai, Executive Vice President for Human Capital, congratulated the honorees in both events and wished them further success as they contribute to Qatar Petroleum’s journey of excellence and aspiration to branch out to the world and join the leading International Oil Companies.

Al Mannai said “our capital is unique, precious and cannot be measured or quantified. Our capital is the secret ingredient that helps shaping QP into the organisation we are proud to be part of today. Our capital is people, who share our great vision and deeply engraved values.”

The honorees in both events were presented with a Certificate of Appreciation as a token of gratitude for their dedication and many years of service with the corporation. A number of QP Executive Vice Presidents and senior management officials took turns in distributing the certificates, and in personally congratulating the honored employees from their respective directorates or departments.

The total of long-serving employees honoured in QP’s three CSA ceremonies since last February 27 has totaled 1,198 long-serving employees who have been part of the company for the past 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 years.

In addition, as part of the recognition programme for 2018, a total of 346 QP employees will also be receiving Certificates of Appreciation for having completed 5 years of service thus far.

Held at the convention hall of the QP Headquarters in West Bay, the CSA Ceremony 2018 was organised by QP’s Public Relations and Communications Department in partnership with the Human Capital Directorate and other departments.

The annual event is one way by which QP recognises the key roles and valuable contributions of its employees in the corporation’s continued growth and success through the years.
