DOHA: Qatar Exchange pursued its upswing trend Thursday, adding 12.93 points or 0.15 percent to advance to 8,422.26 points from 8,409.33 on Wednesday.
The volume of the shares traded up to 4,515,081 from 3,173,070 on Wednesday and the value of shares increased to QR155,578,150.78 from QR145,365,112.77 Wednesday.
Among the top gainers were Qatar National Bank which was up 0.68 percent to QR132.80, Qatar Insurance rose 0.71 percent to QR56.50, Doha Bank gained 1.15 percent to QR44.05 and Qatar Navigation up by 0.67 percent to QR60.00.
The Banking and Financial sector index up 0.28 points while Consumer Goods and Services sector index dropped 0.23 points.
The industrial sector lost 0.33 points while insurance sector rose 0.39 points. (QNA)
