DOHA: A total of 11 kindergarten schools will open from September to increase capacity in preparation for the new education law which is due to make this schooling mandatory, Al Sharq daily newspaper reported yesterday.
This step will serve as grounding for the expected education law that will make three school levels obligatory starting from kindergarten schooling, once the issued law is approved. This regulation will replace the current policy that only makes elementary and middle school mandatory.
The new law is expected to improve the quality of education output and minimise school dropout, which is especially important among children over 12 years, given that amid this age group and above, the number of students decreases.
