DOHA: The sixth International Wedding Exhibition and Fashion Show Doha (IWED 2013) will open its doors exclusively for women today from 3pm to 10pm, featuring six fashion shows.
Over 15,000 people are expected at the IWED 2013 which is taking place at the Doha Exhibition Center until tomorrow. The four-day event has gathered 110 companies that specialise in all details regarding the special day, coming from Europe, Mena and Qatar,
The schedule of fashion shows will be as follows: Zaffa Show from 4.30 to 4.45pm, Nara Salon from 5 to 5.45pm, Hossam Taha from 5.50pm to 6.15pm, Sposabella from 6.30pm to 7.15pm, The Couture Gallery London from 7.40pm to 8.30pm and Hossam Taha from 9pm to 9.15pm.
In a 5,000 sq m area, this year’s edition introduces, along with the fashion shows, the pampered area. This new section delivers round-the-clock tips and tricks on improving the overall look, with the help of a professional style consultant.
Another first timer at IWED 2013 is the ‘Steps’ young designer award competition for young aspiring designers, which will enable students of well-known universities to establish their mark. The award-winning fashion designer Walid Attalah is the Guest of Honour and main fashion designer for the exhibition.
The event will conclude on Sunday, after opening from 3 to 10pm. The last day will comprise five fashion shows. The first one of the day will be that of David Martinez from 5 to 5.45pm, followed by Hossam Taha from 5.50 to 6.15pm, Hanina from 6.30 to 7.15pm, Leen Fashion from 7.40 to 8.30pm and Al Motahajiba from 8.45 to 9.30pm.
