Majority of customers completely satisfied with MoI electronic services

Doha: An overwhelming majority — around eighty seven percent —of people have expressed their complete satisfaction on the services being provided by the Ministry of the Interior electronically to the public via its website and Metrash2 mobile app.

In a survey being conducted by the Ministry of Interior on its website showed that 66 percent of voters termed the services as ‘excellent’ while 21 percent declared them as ‘good’.

The poll began on May 6 and will continue until August 6 this year. So far as many as around 600 people took part in the online survey. Out of total respondents of the survey, 391 people (66 percent)termed the services as excellent while 123 people (21percent) said that the services were good. 

In the survey only 5 percent people noted that the services were ‘insufficient’ while 9percent observed that it need to be improved.

The General Directorate of Information Systems at the Ministry of Interior (MoI) recently launched a new version of Metrash2 for phones and smart devices, which is the fastest way to attain the Ministry’s services from any place and at any time.

Metrash2 is available for use on all devices to serve citizens, residents, companies and institutions 24 hours from any place. 

There are 174 services provided by MoI through the application, with the possibility of paying for these services directly without the need to visit the directorates of the ministry.

In a previous statistics by the Ministry it showed that about 7,000 transactions related to General Directorate of Passports are executed daily through Metrash 2 mobile application.

Metrash 2 mobile application was launched in December 2011 with just a few of services but quickly it developed, and today it is available in six languages including Arabic, English, French, Spanish, Urdu and Malayalam. 

There are 211 electronic services are available through Metrash2 and the website of the Ministry. Currently, around 400,000 active e-service users are availing its services.

The number of Metrash2 subscribers have reached 463,864 subscribers, and more than 1,880,152 transactions have been completed through it.

The Criminal Evidence and Information Department of the Ministry of Interior recently announced the launch of service of issuing certificates of good conduct (PCC) through Metrash2 and Ministry of Interior’s web portal.
