Doha, Qatar: “Qatari Life” was the theme of the Qatari Majlis programme held at the Sheikh Abdulla Bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center.

With the participation of 36 people from diverse nationalities, the center organised the Qatari Majlis programme, which discussed life in Qatar in general, as well as its most important customs and local traditions.

The center is keen to organise such events to enhance knowledge of the local community among non-Arabic-speaking residents.

The programme included a general introduction to life in Qatar, the customs of its people for various social occasions, the concept of family, the role of women, and social values such as hospitality, generosity, ethics, and behaviour within the local community.

It concluded with traditional Qatari hospitality, which included a selection of local dishes. The Qatari Majlis programme is considered one of the center’s distinguished initiatives, having continued for several years and attracted dozens of non-Arabic-speaking participants interested in exploring various aspects of Qatari culture.
