The gang kidnapped Mehrullah Magsi and other relatives of the former Baluchistan governor from Dasht Tehsil, officials said yesterday.

Three Magsi tribesmen were coming back from Jhal Magsi to Quetta when they were picked up by armed men in Dasht.

Police launched a search operation in the area to free the tribesmen. There was no immediate claim of responsibility.
