DOHA: A section of the Salwa Road will be closed for traffic for two days from 5pm on Thursday.
The road will reopen at 11am on Saturday, the Public Works Authority (Ashghal) said yesterday.
The closure is part of the development work on Salwa service roads. Motorists coming from New Salata area heading to Salwa main road have been advised to use the alternate roads during the temporary closure.
Meanwhile, a junction at Mesaimeer street near E-Ring Road will be closed from tomorrow, as part of a project to upgrade the treated sewerage network in Zone No 44, Nuaija.
Alternative roads have been provided for commuters using this road. Work will start tomorrow and will continue until July 8.
The closure will include only one lane on Mesaimeer street keeping the road open for those heading north, while drivers who want to go right at the junction will need to use the alternate roads.
