Saoud bin Abdulaziz Al-Mohannadi was elected to the Union of Arab Football Associations (UAFA) Council as VicePresident for the new term 2021- 2025, at the conclusion of the General Assembly of the Union, which was followed by a meeting of the newly-elected Council.
Al Mohannadi, who won the council membership after receiving 20 votes, was later named Vice-President -for the Asian continent – by virtue of recommendation.
Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, President of the Qatar Football Association (QFA), headed the Qatari delegation participating in the meetings of the UAFA General Assembly, which was hosted in Jeddah.
The QFA President also participated in the meeting of the UAFA Council, headed by His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Faisal, President of the Union.
The QFA delegation included Saoud bin Abdulaziz AlMohannadi, (Vice-President), Mansour Mohammed Al Ansari (General Secretary), and Mohammad Khalifa Al Suwaidi (Chief Executive Officer, Aspire Zone Foundation).
