Doha, Qatar: A new set of Galfar Toastmasters Executive Committee was formed during the club’s 261st meeting held recently at the Galfar Toastmasters’ hall in Al Hilal, with the presence of DTM Sherwin Olimpo, Division A Director as installation officer.
Sworn to uphold their specific functions as ExCom and contribute to the success of the club were President TM Subramanya Hebbagelu, Vice President Education Faisudheen Kannoth, Vice President Membership Md Arshad Jamal, Vice President PR Abhijith Shankar, Secretary Alfonso Belito C. Betita, Treasurer Shuhaib Mukkoli and Sgt.-At-Arms Kutubuddin Mollah. The newly installed club officers took over the helm of Galfar Toastmasters Club – one of the most successful if not the most successful corporate toastmasters club in Qatar.
They will serve and set to revitalise the organisation for the year 2023 to 2024.
In his inaugural speech club president, TM Subramanya Hebbagelu issued a bold challenge to each and every officer and member to work for the growth of the club by enticing new members while enhancing the way how the regular meeting is being conducted.
He also explained why he accepted the position even if he has already served as club president during the pandemic year of 2020 to 2021.
Galfar Toastmaster Club was founded in year 2009 to serve as leadership and communication platform for Galfar Al Misnad Engineering and Contracting Company.
It is a well-supported club that draws its financial resources from the company and whose members are exclusively employees of the company.
Through the years, Galfar Toastmasters Club earned honours and accolades in the toastmasters community while some of its members became active and prominent officers of District 116.
