Gaza: The death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 2023 has climbed to 62,004, most of them women and children, according to medical sources cited by Palestinian news agency (WAFA).

The number of wounded has reached 156,230, with many victims still beneath rubble, unreachable by ambulances and civil defense crews.

Over the past 24 hours, 60 Palestinians were martyred and 344 others were injured, bringing the toll since March 18 -- when Israeli forces violated the ceasefire agreement -- to 10,460 dead and 44,189 wounded.

Medical officials further reported that 27 Palestinians were martyred and 281 others were injured while attempting to obtain humanitarian aid in the past 24 hours, raising the total number of people killed in the struggle for survival to 1,965, with 14,701 injured.

Gaza’s hospitals also recorded five deaths from starvation and malnutrition in the past day, including two children, bringing the cumulative toll from hunger-related deaths to 263, among them 112 children.

Despite mounting international condemnation and repeated warnings from UN agencies about the catastrophic humanitarian conditions, the Israeli occupation forces have continued their bombardment of the Gaza Strip, exacerbating the crisis and pushing the population to unprecedented levels of suffering.
