The Hague: Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs H E Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi met yesterday in The Hague with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands H E David van Weel.
The meeting reviewed bilateral relations and ways to strengthen and promote cooperation, in addition to the latest regional developments, particularly the treacherous Israeli attack that targeted Doha.
The Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that Qatar will take all necessary measures to safeguard its security and preserve its sovereignty.
The Dutch Minister of Foreign Affairs reiterated his country’s solidarity with Qatar, stressing that the Israeli attack constituted a violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and international law.
The Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also met with Deputy Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, H E Nazhat Shameem Khan.
During the meeting, the events of the Israeli aggression on Qatar on September 9 were reviewed, considering it a crime punishable under international criminal law. Al Khulaifi affirmed during the meeting Qatar’s firm commitment to the provisions of international law and its steadfast determination to defend its rights by all legitimate means.
