DOHA: The Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage, HE Dr. Hamad Bin Abdulaziz Al-Kuwari, who is also Chairman of the 13th session of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD XIII), left Doha on Saturday morning to New York to participate in the deliberations on the Report of the Trade and Development Board to the Second Committee for the sixty-ninth session of the UN General Assembly.
Dr. Al Kuwari is scheduled to deliver a speech before the meeting, during which he will review the efforts being exerted by the State of Qatar in support of UNCTAD's role and functions during his presidency of the Thirteenth Conference.
The UNCTAD celebrates its 50th anniversary, and these meetings will make an assessment of the UNCTAD and recommendations for its future. (QNA)
